“After Yang” Star Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja Steals The Show at Cannes

The famous red carpet at Cannes Film Festival is often a stage where big name celebrities strut in their eye-catching gowns, but this year a pint sized beauty stole the show. The 9-year-old Los Angeles based singer and actress, Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja, walked the carpet in two stunning dresses fit for any modern day princess. She’s part of the cast of “After Yang” a science fiction drama directed by Kogonada and starred by Colin Farrell. The film takes place In a world where robotic children are purchased as live-in babysitters, a father and daughter attempt to save the life of their robotic family member, Yang, who has become unresponsive.
